We are accepting applications for Quality Auditors to join us on 3rd shift! The Quality Auditor works to assure the quality of finished parts by performing prescribed audits and product tests at established intervals, maintaining the required records.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Audits parts per established procedures at prescribed intervals; marks audited finished parts.
  • Maintains a log of problems for use by next shift. Entries into log are to be strictly part/job related.
  • Establishes and maintains first/last piece, trimmed samples and supporting records. 
  • Gauges parts per established procedures as required.
  • Assists in the training of floor people on acceptable quality standards. Monitors parts set aside for acceptance.
  • Audits received materials for prescribed quality levels; gauges parts as required.
  • Records all test results as appropriate.
  • Organizes and retains samples of all parts received.
  • Assists in coordinating problem solving activities relating to product failures.
  • Gathers Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.) data as required.
  • Maintains prescribed paperwork such as: In-process forms, Final audit forms and Disposition tags.
  • Informs appropriate supervisor and/or lead person of quality problems.
  • Works with Quality Assurance (Q.A.) Manager/Supervisor and other appropriate personnel to set and maintain quality standards.
  • Approves first piece for each production run.
  •  Maintains data electronically for all blue tags/SPC.
  • Gathers and sends lab samples as required by control plans.
  • Receives all components direct and does receiving audits. Performs receiving audits on outsourced product and non-approved suppliers.
  •  Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
  •  Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor

Requirements: 

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  •  Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  •  Basic knowledge of gage functions and instructions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  •  A self-starter with ability to work without detailed direction.
  •  Have good analytical ability
  • Previous Quality experience preferred
  • Able to pass color acuity test with average ability
