Overview

THIS IS AN INTERNAL ONLY POSTING FOR THE TEAM MEMBERS OF THE AUGUSTA, KY FACILITY. EXTERNAL CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Responsibilities
    • Perform all necessary testing of raw materials, in-process, & finished product per instructions on lab data report sheets in a timely manner in conjunction with production of finished product. Also evaluate films and laminate visually for conformance to requirements.
    • Interpret testing results ensuring precision and accuracy and analyze quality windows control charts for trends or out of control situations. Work closely with operations and process to achieve property targets using statistical process control techniques.
    • Communicate out of specification or out of control situations in a timely manner to team supervisors, line leaders, and/or process for necessary corrective actions or process adjustments. Follow critical inspection path procedures for out of specification or out of control data to ensure accuracy of data and conformance of material.
    • Complete lab data sheets accurately and legibly for retention as a quality record and enter into Quality Windows software.
    • Store, identify, retrieve (when required), and discard production retains per customer/Berry Global retention requirements and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Demonstration of leadership capability and an understanding of the basics of extrusion and/or conversion.
