Your role: Senior / Lead Electrical Project Engineer - Site Electrical Infrastructure Region Brabant | Start in September | 1 year+ assignment | Onsite, full-time preferred For the setup of a complete new electrical infrastructure across all buildings on a site, we are looking for an experienced Senior or Lead Electrical Project Engineer. In this role, you support the Installation Responsible (Installatieverantwoordelijke, IV) in the preparation, engineering and execution of electrotechnical works within the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade project.

From a technical and electrotechnical perspective, you contribute to a safe, high-quality realization of the project, in line with applicable standards - with a focus on medium- and low-voltage installations, electrical distribution systems, and the integration of new or modified installations within the existing infrastructure. The site's foundation works are completed as of September, with FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities starting from October/November onward. As the project moves into this execution phase, you will play a key technical role in reviewing and validating the switching plans prepared and executed by the installation contractor, acting as werkverantwoordelijke (work responsible) on the electrical scope.

You will work closely with the Installation Responsible, the project organization, engineering parties, suppliers and contractors. Responsibilities: Supporting the Installation Responsible (IV) on electrotechnical matters within the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade project Reviewing and assessing electrotechnical designs, drawings, single line diagrams, schematics and technical documentation Assessing designs and modifications to medium- and low-voltage installations and electrical distribution systems Ensuring design and execution comply with applicable standards, codes and site requirements Supporting the preparation and review of technical scopes, specifications and work packages for contractors and suppliers Coordinating and providing technical guidance on electrotechnical works within the project Preparing and reviewing project-related work and switching plans (schakelplannen), in coordination with the IV/WV organization, and validating those prepared by the installation contractor in your role as werkverantwoordelijke Supporting risk assessments, LOTO plans, switching activities and safe working methods Coordinating activities with the IV, project management, engineering, operations and contractors Identifying and following up on electrotechnical risks, technical deviations and interfaces Supporting FAT, SAT, inspections, testing, commissioning and energization of new or modified installations Tracking and following up on technical punch items and deviations during execution and commissioning Ensuring accurate handover documentation, including drawings, schematics, test results, certificates and as-built documentation Supporting the technical handover and commissioning of new or modified installations Profile: Minimum requirements: MBO-4 Electrical Engineering with extensive relevant project experience, or HBO Electrical Engineering Experience as an Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or in a comparable electrotechnical project role Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with medium-voltage installations Solid knowledge of low-voltage installations and electrical distribution systems Experience with electrotechnical engineering, project execution and commissioning Knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO and safe switching practices Experience reviewing electrical drawings, single line diagrams, schematics and technical documentation Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering partners, contractors and internal stakeholders Qualified as werkverantwoordelijke (LS/MS), with relevant BEI certification (or willingness to obtain this) Preferred (pre): Experience with medium- and low-voltage distribution within an industrial environment Knowledge of NEN 3140, NEN 3840 and NEN 1010 Knowledge of relevant standards for medium- and low-voltage installations and switching installations Experience with infrastructure, energy distribution or electrification projects Experience with commissioning, switching and energization of new electrical installations Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or GMP environment Good command of English Open to both employed and freelance (ZZP) professionals Are you an experienced electrical engineer who wants to take ownership of a large-scale electrical infrastructure build-out, from switching plan review through to full execution.
