The key difference lies in licensing requirements and employment structure.

Can you be a freelance security guard?

A freelance security guard is an independent contractor who provides security services without being employed by a security company. Typically, security guards need to obtain a guard card or license, which may require employment with a licensed agency, so working as a true freelancer can be limited by licensing requirements and local regulations. However, some security professionals operate independently by offering specialized services or consulting in security.

What is the easiest security guard job to get?

The easiest security guard jobs to obtain typically require minimal experience and do not always require a guard card, such as unarmed security positions in low-risk environments like retail stores or events. These roles often prioritize basic background checks and may offer on-the-job training, making them accessible for entry-level applicants.
