Job Title: Traveling Security Technician 

Location: Forest Lake, MN 
Pay rate: $26-32/HR

Having been around for over forty years, our client provides the resources necessary for their team members to excel and reach their career goals in the communications industry.

Position Summary: Anistar is seeking experienced Security Technicians for a long term contract opportunity to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables. This is a travel position so candidates must be comfortable spending time on the road. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pulling/routing cat 5e/cat 6 cable 
  • Building out MDF/IDFs
  • Installation of fire alarm systems and hardware
  • CCTV camera installation 
  • Burglar alarm/intrusion alarm installation 
  • Install J Hooks, D-rings, cable tray, and other supports
  • Reading blue prints

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in low voltage installation 
  • Experience pulling and terminating cables.
  • Ability to climb ladders 
  • Must be comfortable working from boom/scissor lifts at 40+ feet 
  • Must be willing to travel as needed and work overnight shift
