Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Digital Content Creator to join the firm as part of our MediaLab team. This role is ideal for a freelance filmmaker looking to transition into a full-time position within a highly collaborative creative team. You will get to tackle these responsibilities alongside a group of extremely creative individuals who are passionate about their work and strive Visual to achieve outstanding results. Responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding technical needs, creative considerations, and delivery requirements
  • Serve as a hands-on content creator, owning projects from initial creative direction through final delivery
  • Shoot and edit compelling visual stories across architectural, commercial, interactive, film, and broadcast projects
  • Collaborate directly with the Executive Creative Director and Director of Production to interpret creative vision and translate it into strong visual execution
  • Work directly with clients and internal project teams to understand goals, guide creative decisions, and deliver high-quality storytelling outcomes
  • Lead and conduct on-camera interviews with a clear understanding of narrative structure and the final edit in mind, including pacing, coverage, soundbites, and story arc
  • Support local office teams by collaborating early on projects, identifying opportunities where MediaLab storytelling can add value, and helping develop creative approaches in coordination with the core MediaLab team
  • Act as a local MediaLab representative, partnering closely with the firm's primary MediaLab leadership and production teams to ensure creative consistency, technical alignment, and shared standards across projects
  • Plan, prep, and maintain camera, lighting, audio, and broadcast gear for live broadcasts, live-to-tape productions, and editorial shoots
  • Monitor and manage audio, lighting, and camera systems during live events and recordings
  • Ingest, catalog, and organize raw footage, applying accurate metadata and maintaining a clean, accessible media library
  • Edit raw footage, rendered elements, graphics, and associated digital assets (including music, sound effects, and licensed media) to match creative direction, including initial color correction, rough audio mix, visual effects, and proper asset organization
  • Review own work-and that of collaborators-for quality, consistency, and accuracy prior to client delivery
  • Maintain studio spaces and equipment, ensuring hardware, firmware, and software are current and properly functioning
  • Shoot with a variety of camera systems (including Blackmagic, DJI, Canon, Panasonic GH-series, and others) with a strong artistic eye for composition, lighting, and movement
  • Collaborate with the Director of Production to explore innovative uses of emerging and existing technologies to create memorable "wow" moments
  • Integrate live-action and computer-generated elements into cohesive visual narratives
  • Collaborate with the MediaLab Executive Creative Director and the firm's VFX team to help facilitate projects involving visual effects, motion graphics, or animation, serving as the local MediaLab point of contact
  • Support VFX-driven projects by coordinating creative intent, source footage, references, and technical requirements between teams and clients
  • Capture footage with post-production and VFX integration in mind, ensuring material is suitable for downstream visual effects work
  • Conduct research and development by attending industry events, reviewing publications, and experimenting with new techniques and workflows
  • Compress, format, and deliver final video assets according to project specifications and delivery requirements
  • Read and interpret run-of-show documents or shooting scripts to align technical execution with creative intent

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a deep conceptual understanding of digital content creation. While we value formal education, we place equal weight on individuals who have developed a sophisticated professional lens through high-impact experience.
  • At least five years of professional experience with Adobe products (Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
  • At least three years of professional experience with studio production workflows, including ingesting, logging, outputs, and equipment maintenance
  • One year of professional experience with basic sound design and mixing
  • Strong understanding of general studio lighting and audio theory with practical experience setting up those systems
  • Proficient with both Mac and Windows operating systems; familiarity with basic operations and maintenance of both is expected
  • Knowledge of color correction and grading workflows is a plus, including familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or similar color tools
  • While not a VFX artist role, a working understanding of VFX and animation workflows (including previs, plates, compositing, motion graphics, and rendering) is a plus

Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000 annually - New York location only
The estimate range represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in New York only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. In addition, base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
