About the Role:

As a Freelance Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our production team in various phases of production. From researching and building graphics, to finding statistics about players and teams to assisting with editing and preparing scripts, you will contribute to the creation of engaging sports content for our views. This role is on-site and requires availability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and non-traditional business hours. This role reports to the Coordinating Content Producers. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Research and build graphics.
  • Research players, teams, stories, and statistics. 
  • Assist production personnel in all phases of production.
  • Support in editing pieces, preparing scripts, coordination, and conducting necessary research where required.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and meticulousness in all tasks.
  • Adaptability: Readiness to learn and adapt to changing situations. Effectively manage high-pressure, live scenarios (both inside and outside the control room) with a positive and constructive attitude when interacting with colleagues, talent, management, fellow production staff, and other departments.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively with peers and management across teams.
  • Creativity: Capacity to bring innovative ideas to the production process. Thorough knowledge of both local and national sports. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comprehensive understanding of sports statistics and abbreviations.
  • Proficient in grammar and spelling skills to ensure accuracy and clarity in written communications. Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in written form, to effectively convey information and ideas.
