The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs.
Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality care and coordination of nursing services across our programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:
Four years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A bachelor's degree in nursing plus three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A master's degree in nursing or public health plus three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A doctorate in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
  • Serves as a member of the Nursing Administrative Team in determining suitable organizational structure, staffing requirements, workflows, and operational priorities necessary to support Health Services operations. Provides management and direction.
  • Assists the Chief Nursing Officer in developing, defining, implementing, and maintaining standards of nursing and healthcare practice within the agency.
  • Prepares, monitors, analyzes, and submits reports, quality indicators, operational metrics, and other reports as requested by the Chief Nursing Officer and Administration.
  • Responsible for problem-solving and decision-making related to healthcare operations and serves as a resource person for Health Services personnel and other departments.
  • Infection Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance Provides oversight and administrative leadership for Infection Prevention and Control activities and serves as liaison between providers, nursing leadership, and administration regarding infection prevention initiatives.
  • Develops, reviews, revises, implements, and monitors clinical policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice to ensure compliance with CMS regulations, ICF/IID standards, Louisiana Department of Health requirements, CDC recommendations, OSHA standards, Louisiana State Board of Nursing regulations, and agency policies. Coordinates mortality reviews, infection surveillance activities, healthcare quality indicators, performance improvement projects, compliance audits, corrective action plans, and regulatory survey preparation activities.
  • Provides guidance, direction, oversight, and periodic evaluations to assure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
  • Program Development, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Administrative Support Acts as a liaison with participants, families, hospitals, long-term care facilities, specialty providers, universities, law enforcement agencies, contracted healthcare organizations, regulatory agencies, and department heads regarding participant health and wellbeing and healthcare operations.
  • Serves on committees and workgroups as assigned, including but not limited to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control, Mortality Review, Behavioral Health Services, Risk Management, and Regulatory Compliance committees.
  • Assists with development of clinical affiliations and educational opportunities. Performs additional duties necessary for the smooth operation of Health Services and the agency as requested by the Chief Nursing Officer, Administrator, or designee. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Administrator to support the Agency and/or the people we serve.

Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Detail to Special Duty, Probation, Job Appointment, Promotion, Demotion, or Lateral Transfer.Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
Work Schedule: 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate: REGISTERED NURSE--MANAGER- $ 44.79/hr. - $65.10hr.
This position receives premium pay of $ 10.00 per hour.
This position also receives Shift Differential, Longevity Pay, and Additional pay options.
