RN Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents based on their individual needs and care plans

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations

  • Monitor residents' vital signs, assess their health condition, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans

  • Assist in coordinating and supervising the work of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to ensure the delivery of consistent, safe, and compassionate care

  • Educate residents and their families on health management, disease prevention, and available support services

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic documentation, in adherence to facility policies and regulatory guidelines

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida

  • 2 years of experience preferred in nursing, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting

  • Sound knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures, with a focus on geriatric care

  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to evaluate and respond to residents' health needs effectively

  • Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members with empathy and professionalism

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills

  • Current CPR certification

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development

  • Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
