Outside of the office, youโ€™ll enjoy a perfect blend of high-end suburban amenities, historic landmarks, and easy access to the vibrant cultural energy of nearby Washington, D.C.

Preface

This mandate demands a practitioner with a sophisticated command of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and RF Engineering, specifically within the context of high-stakes Defense and Intelligence applications. The successful candidate will possess an elite academic foundation in Electrical Engineering or Applied Mathematics, demonstrating a first-principles mastery of detection, estimation, and demodulation theories. In this role, the synthesis of theoretical digital communication protocols and real-time Software Defined Radio (SDR) execution is not merely an asset but a mechanical necessity. To resolve the technical challenges inherent in complex RF environments, the candidate must bridge the gap between abstract mathematical modeling and the deployment of high-performance, multi-threaded C++/Python systems capable of signal exploitation and geolocation.

The Mission

The objective is to orchestrate the end-to-end lifecycle of real-time signal processing systems within an elite tactical framework. This involves the forensic analysis of RF environments to engineer robust collection and exploitation protocols. The mission focuses on the transition from theoretical proofs-of-concept to the deployment of resilient, operational architectures that handle high-velocity protocol processing. By decoupling complex signal interference and optimizing detection algorithms, this role ensures systemic impact within mission-critical communication infrastructures.

Core Technical Objectives
  • Synthesize advanced digital communication frameworks to enable the precision collection, processing, and exploitation of diverse RF signals.

  • Engineer sophisticated modeling techniques and high-fidelity proofs-of-concept to validate the viability of emerging protocol processing theories.

  • Optimize real-time SDR architectures, ensuring high-performance execution of multi-threaded signal processing algorithms on Linux-based hosts.

  • Formalize robust software solutions using C/C++ and Python, adhering to rigorous version control and code management standards.

  • Validate system performance within dense and complex RF environments, ensuring high-accuracy demodulation and signal detection.

  • Orchestrate the deployment of operational geolocation techniques and wireless air interface protocols to meet stringent intelligence mandates.

Candidate DNA
  • Architectural Philosophy: A deep-seated commitment to building scalable, real-time systems that prioritize low-latency signal exploitation and architectural resilience.

  • Technical Depth: Profound fluency in digital communications theory, including detection and estimation frameworks, coupled with extensive experience in the Defense and Intelligence sectors.

  • Systems Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and Python development, with a specific focus on multi-threaded applications and distributed team collaboration.

  • Domain Expertise: Familiarity with sophisticated signal processing environments (e.g., XMIDAS) and a mastery of geolocation theory and wireless protocol stacks.

Academic & Research Pedigree
  • Minimum Educational Threshold: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE), Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related rigorous STEM discipline.

  • Advanced Research: Preference for candidates with advanced degrees (M.S. or Ph.D.) who have demonstrated the ability to perform cutting-edge research and development in wireless protocols.

  • Security Credentialing: Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance, reflecting a history of professional integrity and technical reliability in high-clearance environments.
