How you'll make an impact:
This role typical reports to Director, Analytics COE & Strategy and is based in our Buckhead Office.
Lead analytics projects (30%)
  • Serve as the technical and analytical Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Lead and mentor team members
  • Collaborate with business SMEs to produce analytical solutions
  • Enable Tableau and other tools for Self-Service analytics within functional business groups to improve insights and efficiency
Data modeling and machine learning (20%)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions
  • Design and execute analytics projects
  • Build and deploy machine learning models
  • Monitor and maintain machine learning models
Data Engineering (20%)
  • Develop custom queries per use case
  • Connect to a variety of databases
  • Joining, un-joining and shaping data
Design and develop Tableau dashboards which include key metrics, variance reporting, and advanced analytics (20%)
  • Work through Tableau dashboard lifecycle from frameworks to dashboard deployment
  • Apply visual analytics principles to effectively communicate insights
  • Creating interactive dashboards with the end user in mind
  • Creating calculations, parameters and leveraging Tableau analytics
  • Develop ETL flows when necessary
Follow AGILE methodology to successfully manage and deliver projects (10%)
  • Project management and leadership
  • Tracking in JIRA
Secondary functions include:
  • Recommend and support the introduction of new or improved technical and business practices.
  • Prepare documentation and user aids suitable to end user needs. Provide training to end users and support staff appropriate to the business need.
  • Performs analytical, and programming tasks as assigned outside of conventional BI tool

Support BI tools and add-ons.

Must have:
  • 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning tools
  • 3 years of experience with BI Tool Expertise (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos,etc.)
  • 2 years of experience with Python, R, SQL (Procedures, Views, Functions, Scripts, etc.)
  • 2 years of experience with Data Warehouse / Databases (AWS Redshift, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
  • 1+ year of experience with ETL Tool Exposure (Informatica, Data Stage etc.)

Preferred skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in CS, Business, or similar field (Masters / MBA a plus)
  • 2 years of experience with Business Intelligence or Analytics experience
  • 2 years of experience with Data Warehouse / Data Integration development experience
  • 1 year of experience with Data Modeling experience
  • Retail and / or Wholesale experience is a plus
