To thrive as a Freelance Resume Writer, you need excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of resume formats, and familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), often supported by a background in human resources or career coaching. Proficiency in word processing tools, online portfolio platforms, and, ideally, certification from organizations like the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches (PARW/CC) is beneficial.
