Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to inform individualized treatment plans.
  • Regularly evaluate and document clients’ progress to refine care strategies and interventions, thereby supporting mental health diagnoses effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate treatment records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, utilizing technological tools suited to the clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and other professionals to establish comprehensive treatment plans that integrate cultural diversity and respect individual needs.
  • Be proactive in anticipating patient safety concerns and symptom management, alongside developing actionable goals in therapy.
  • Facilitate educational opportunities and mentorship for students and interns, contributing to the development of future mental health professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on children, adolescents, and families facing the emotional and psychological challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
