Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant / CPA - U.S. Tax

Location: Remote (Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone or Puerto Rico)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, active CPA to join our team as a Senior U.S. Tax Accountant. In this role, you will lead client engagements from end to end, providing high-touch tax compliance, strategic tax planning, and consultative advisory services. You will work directly with business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and cross-border clients, while also serving as a technical mentor by reviewing returns prepared by staff members.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Review: Prepare and review complex federal and state returns for individuals and business entities (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S).

International Tax & Reporting: Handle cross-border tax compliance and international reporting obligations, including FBAR, FATCA, Forms 5471, 8865, 8938, and foreign ownership filings.

Client Advisory & Planning: Deliver proactive tax planning strategies to high-net-worth individuals and business owners; explain complex tax concepts in an accessible, consultative manner.

Engagement Management: Manage client engagements independently from initial planning through delivery, serving as the direct point of contact for client communications.

Staff Mentorship: Review staff-prepared returns, deliver constructive feedback, and provide technical guidance to foster internal professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills
Bilingual English/Spanish

Licensure: Active U.S. CPA license required.

Experience: 3 to 7+ years of public accounting experience within a CPA firm environment.

Tax Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in complex individual and corporate tax returns, as well as tax strategy and international compliance protocols.

Software: Hands-on experience with CCH Axcess Tax is strongly preferred.

Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.

Location Constraint: Must reside and work remotely within the U.S. Eastern Time Zone or Puerto Rico.
