We are seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Sr. Director of Strategic Finance to lead this next phase. This leader will own the financial planning and analysis function while simultaneously delivering rigorous financial strategy, evaluating build-vs-buy and M&A opportunities, forging high-impact partnerships, and developing scalable revenue channels beyond direct sales, this leader will expand market share and strengthen PerformYard’s competitive position.

Reporting to the VP of Finance and working directly with the CEO, executive team, and Board, the Sr. Director will drive data-informed decision-making, build and scale high-performing teams, and ensure that financial and partnership investments deliver measurable business outcomes. With a mandate to accelerate growth, deepen ecosystem integrations, support exit readiness, and drive long-term enterprise value, this leader will be a key driver of PerformYard’s growth and market leadership.

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Finance & Planning

  • Own the company’s financial planning and analysis function, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, scenario modeling, and long-range strategic plans
  • Build and present board-ready financial materials, KPI dashboards, and investor narratives that translate operational performance into strategic insight
  • Lead capital allocation decisions, evaluate investment opportunities, and develop the financial frameworks for pricing, packaging, and go-to-market expansion
  • Partner with department heads across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to drive data-informed resource allocation and operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain frameworks for measuring the financial impact and ROI of AI initiatives, ensuring AI investments are tied to measurable improvements in retention, efficiency, and revenue growth
  • Advise on capital allocation, commercial trade-offs, and strategic investments to maximize business impact

Partnership Strategy & Ecosystem Development

  • Lead build-vs-buy analysis for new capabilities, providing rigorous financial and strategic frameworks to guide whether PerformYard should develop internally, partner, or acquire
  • Identify and evaluate M&A and strategic investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning to support inorganic growth
  • Identify, negotiate, and close partnership agreements with HRIS, payroll, and complementary HR technology providers to expand PerformYard’s integration footprint and distribution reach
  • Define partnership KPIs and build reporting frameworks to measure ROI, partner engagement, and contribution to overall revenue targets
  • Represent PerformYard externally with investors, partners, and industry stakeholders

Enterprise Value & Exit Readiness

  • Lead exit planning and readiness activities, including data room setup and maintenance, investor materials preparation, and due diligence coordination
  • Drive enterprise value creation initiatives focused on improving net revenue retention, accelerating ARR growth, and strengthening unit economics
  • Develop and track value creation dashboards that connect operational metrics to enterprise valuation drivers, ensuring the leadership team has clear line-of-sight to value inflection points
  • Quantify and communicate the enterprise value impact of AI-powered features, including their contribution to retention, ARPU expansion, and competitive differentiation
  • Partner with the VP of Finance to ensure financial reporting, controls, and data integrity meet the standards required for institutional investors and potential acquirers

  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling partnership programs, whether channel, technology, or strategic alliances
  • Deep fluency in SaaS financial metrics (ARR, NDR, CAC/LTV, Rule of 40) and a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable strategic recommendations
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive teams and Boards to align financial strategy with business objectives and enterprise value
  • Experience leading build-vs-buy evaluations and M&A due diligence, including financial modeling, valuation, and post-acquisition integration planning
  • Familiarity with exit planning activities including data room preparation, investor due diligence processes, and enterprise value optimization strategies
  • Experience developing frameworks for measuring the financial impact of AI and technology investments on business performance
