Description

NCPG is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Services & Trading Initiatives, to lead the day-to-day strategy and growth of NCPG's Financial Trader Health and Safety Initiative. This is a national, grant-funded effort focused on consumer protection, financial wellness, and harm prevention.


This role is ideal for someone who is seeking a meaningful, impactful opportunity that encompasses public health, finance, and policy.


This is a two-year, grant-funded position supporting a high-priority national initiative. NCPG is actively committed to the long-term sustainability of this work and will communicate transparently about renewal as the grant period progresses.


This position is fully remote within the United States (substantial overlap with East Coast business hours) and requires about 15-20% travel, including conferences, stakeholder meetings, educational events, and NCPG-sponsored programs.


Essential Responsibilities

Program Leadership and Initiative Management

Lead implementation of NCPG's Financial Services & Trading Initiative work plan and grant deliverables

Develop and manage project timelines, goals, milestones, and performance metrics

Coordinate initiative activities across NCPG departments and external partners

Monitor developments in financial trading, prediction markets, fintech, and consumer protection

Prepare regular progress reports and recommendations for organizational leadership


Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development

Build and maintain productive relationships with industry participants, regulators, researchers, consumer advocates, public health professionals, and state affiliates

Lead stakeholder meetings, advisory groups, webinars, and roundtable discussions

Represent NCPG at conferences, industry meetings, and educational events

Drive membership growth and engagement within NCPG's Financial Services & Trading sector


Education & Resource Development

Lead development of educational resources, guidance documents, and consumer awareness materials

Collaborate with NCPG staff to integrate Financial Services & Trading content into conferences, webinars, publications, and member resources

Develop best practices and educational recommendations that promote responsible participation and consumer protection

Lead outreach initiatives that increase awareness of trader health and financial risk-related harms


Research & Evaluation

Build and manage partnerships with researchers and academic institutions

Monitor and summarize emerging research related to behavioral risk, consumer behavior, prediction markets, and trading environments

Oversee data collection, grant reporting, and program evaluation activities

Identify opportunities to strengthen research and evidence-informed programming


Conference & Event Management

Lead planning and execution of the Financial Services & Trading Summit

Coordinate speaker engagement, content development, stakeholder outreach, and event logistics

Drive Financial Services & Trading programming across NCPG conferences and educational events


Grant & Budget Management

Monitor initiative budgets, contracts, and project expenditures

Ensure completion of grant reporting requirements and performance objectives

Track outcomes and maintain documentation supporting program impact

Identify future funding and sustainability opportunities


Requirements

Bachelor's degree in public health, policy, finance, nonprofit management, behavioral health, communications, or a related field

5-7 years of professional experience in nonprofit organizations, associations, public health, advocacy, or other mission-driven environments

Experience managing grant-funded programs, strategic initiatives, partnerships, or multi-stakeholder projects

Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders

Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment


Preferred

Experience with membership-based nonprofit organizations or professional associations

Background in financial services, fintech, trading platforms, prediction markets, cryptocurrency, market regulation, or consumer protection

Experience planning conferences, educational programs, webinars, or stakeholder convenings

Experience collaborating with researchers, policymakers, or regulatory agencies

Familiarity with responsible gambling, behavioral health, or public health approaches to prevention and harm reduction


Travel

Approximately 15-20% travel, including NCPG conferences, partner meetings, stakeholder convenings, and industry events.


Funding & Position Term

This position is supported through a two-year grant-funded initiative focused on advancing consumer education, public awareness, and harm prevention efforts related to emerging financial products, trading platforms, and gambling-related harm.

NCPG is committed to the long-term success of this work and will actively seek additional funding opportunities to sustain and expand these efforts. Continuation of the position beyond the initial two-year period will be dependent upon the availability of funding and organizational needs.


Work Environment

  • Remote position with periodic travel for conferences, stakeholder meetings, and Board meetings.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required based on events.
