Job description

Bonita Springs is our Primary Office Location: Remote position with travel as needed, approximately 10%-20% at maximum.

We are searching for candidates in Florida and around the Miami & Palm Beach area, but are open to candidates throughout the Northeast and East Coast.

Director of Corporate Communications, Primary Responsibilities:  
  • Execute and manage day-to-day external communications initiatives aligned with the company's corporate communications and PR strategy.
  • Manage corporate social media channels, content calendars, publishing, monitoring, and brand presence across Management Companies where appropriate.
  • Identify new digital and social communication opportunities to expand audience engagement and brand visibility.
  • Conduct peer benchmarking and competitive analysis across senior living, healthcare, REITs, and adjacent industries.
  • Monitor engagement analytics and provide recurring reporting and recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinate website content updates, including leadership announcements, operational updates, awards, press releases, branded programs, and community initiatives.
  • Support company branding initiatives and ensure consistency across communications channels and materials.
  • Coordinate production of videos, executive messaging, digital campaigns, photography, and branded collateral.
  • Maintain communications assets, templates, approved messaging, and content libraries.
Internal Communications:
  • Lead day-to-day internal communications across corporate departments and operational teams, including operational updates, announcements, employee communications, and corporate newsletters.
  • Support communications tied to acquisitions, transitions, assimilations, launches, and operational initiatives.
  • Serve as a communications partner for the Business Assimilation Team (BAT), supporting transition communications, stakeholder messaging, FAQs, and readiness materials.
  • Support company initiatives, employee engagement campaigns, culture initiatives, awards, and recognition programs.
  • Assist with executive communications, including talking points, scripts, presentations, FAQs, and employee messaging.
  • Manage internal communications calendars, workflows, and company intranet content.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure timely dissemination of important organizational updates.
  • Support employee communications during operational events, weather events, emergencies, and company-wide initiatives.
Crisis Communications & Reputation Management: 
  • Draft holding statements, internal alerts, stakeholder messaging, FAQs, operational updates, and media response materials.
  • Support crisis communications planning and rapid-response execution under the direction of senior communications leadership.
  • Maintain crisis communications templates, distribution lists, escalation workflows, and response protocols.
  • Monitor news, social media, and emerging issues that could impact company reputation or operations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Legal, HR, and leadership teams during active incidents or sensitive situations.
Media, Content & Reporting:
  • Develop recurring executive summaries and media reports for leadership.
  • Oversee daily media monitoring and track industry news, competitor activity, reputation issues, legislative developments, and emerging trends
  • Track earned media, executive visibility, social engagement, digital performance, and communications KPIs.
  • Develop and support communications materials including leadership communications, newsletters, social media content, website copy, talking points, FAQs, community updates, executive bios, corporate fact sheets, and crisis communications.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and ensure messaging consistency, brand standards, proofreading, and quality control across communications.
Communications Operations & Leadership Support:
  • Manage communications requests from corporate departments and operational teams.
  • Develop communications workflows, approval processes, project tracking systems, standardized templates, and toolkits.
  • Coordinate executive visibility opportunities, speaking logistics, award submissions, conference applications, and executive profiles.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, culture, company events, conferences, and internal campaigns.
  • Analyze digital, SEO, AI-search, and content performance trends and provide recommendations to improve reach and engagement.
  • Coordinate external vendors, including photographers, designers, videographers, printers, and freelance writers.
  • Assist with communications vendor, subscription, platform, and budget tracking.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, healthcare communications, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Strong experience managing corporate social media and digital communications platforms.
  • Experience supporting executive and internal communications initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience supporting crisis communications and reputation management preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, hospitality, senior living, REIT, or multi-site operating environments preferred.
  • Experience with intranet platforms, CMS systems, social scheduling tools, and media monitoring platforms preferred.
