Job description

Description
At Staris AI we believe human-based cyber defense is dead and the dream of security automation is finally within reach. Staris AI is a Series A ventured-backed firm that is reinventing application security with its innovative AI-powered penetration testing that continuously validates and remediates real attack paths in running applications. The Staris Total Context Security platform proves exploitable vulnerabilities in hours, not weeks, with zero false positives and 40:1 efficiency gains over traditional methods.
We're on a mission to transform the indefensible into the impenetrable, advancing applications into a new era of security.

As a Staris Sales Engineer, your singular focus is the successful conversion of interest into an actionable proof-of-concept, showing customers what is possible when Staris is integrated directly into their stack. You’ll partner cross functionally with both our sales and engineering teams, reducing “time to value” and increasing usage adoption of our solutions. This is a high-impact, high-accountability, and high-autonomy position.

What You'll Do
  • Own the technical Proof of Concept journey end-to-end, from initial discovery and live demonstrations through successful enterprise deployments providing measurable security outcomes in complex customer technology environments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to security and engineering leaders, enabling strategic conversations around application security, AI-driven assessment, and technology transformation.
  • Architect integrations across CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, identity systems, and network security controls to operationalize autonomous security assessments in customer workflows.
  • Leverage exposure to diverse technology environments and maturity models to uncover patterns, inform product direction, and influence the future of AI-powered security validation.
  • Ensure customers are successful post-sale through onboarding guidance, technical troubleshooting, and hands-on partnership during early adoption.

What You Bring
  • Experience with application security testing and best practices
  • Experience supporting a B2B sales motion
  • Experience with AI software solutions.
  • Experience with large enterprise customers
  • Experience in collaborating on whitepapers, blogs, and other thought leadership
  • Strong English language communication skills
  • A Bachelor's degree.

Why Staris
  • Backed by a founding team with deep pedigree, including alumni of Amazon, Accenture, and Palo Alto Networks, who have solved this problem operationally before.
  • A genuine category-defining product. Most AppSec tools create noise while Staris eliminates it with AI-driven proof of exploitability and automated, code-level remediation.
  • Selling into a massive, underserved market. Enterprises invest heavily in AppSec but deeply test only a fraction of their software portfolio.
  • Competitive base and uncapped commission, meaningful equity, full benefits, and a remote-first culture.
