Position: CAM Programming Expert (Fusion 360)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $120–$175/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Author detailed 10-criterion rubrics for grading Fusion 360 CAM programs across various CAD models and machining contexts.
  • Write clear verification rationale for each criterion to ensure objective and verifiable outcomes.
  • Review sample CAM solutions and explain pass/fail outcomes based on expert machinist standards.
  • Evaluate existing CAM programs to determine approval or rejection for production runs.
  • Provide structured reasoning behind each criterion to enhance the quality of evaluation datasets.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Hands-on Fusion 360 CAM experience, with access to a Fusion 360 license.
  • Ability to program 4- and/or 5-axis CNC toolpaths.
  • 5+ years of CAM programming experience.
  • Strong production judgment to assess real machine safety.
  • Written English fluency for text-based deliverables.

Preferred

  • CAM instructor or teaching experience.
