POSITION SUMMARY
  • Review, research, and resolve credit balance and refund requests across multiple practices while ensuring compliance with payor contracts and timely filing guidelines
  • Process and post refunds, including printing refund checks, reviewing refund postings, and handling returned checks for proper resolution
  • Export refund check registers and complete quarterly escheatment and vendor credit balance reports for accounting and compliance purposes
  • Scan and maintain refund documentation within the document management system to support accurate recordkeeping and audit readiness
  • Troubleshoot office equipment as needed, assist with departmental operations, and perform additional duties while lifting up to 40 lbs when required

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED required, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement policies and procedures
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing confidential information professionally
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
