Data Scientist

On our team, you'll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. Ultimately, you'll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with programming languages including R, Python, or C
• Experience designing, develop ing, or leveraging relational databases ( RDBMS ) such as PostgreSQL or MS SQL
• Experience creating sof tware for retrieving, parsing and processing structured and unstructured data, and develop ing scalable ETL / ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
• Experience programming and coding mathematical models
• Experience with data visualization tools and best practices
• Knowledge of the Sof tware Develop ment Life Cycle, testing, and version control
• Ability to cleanse data and develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team, prioritize multiple work tasks, deliver products on time within and to quality standards
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience supporting DoD organizations
• Experience using and deploying machine learning algorithms, including natural language processing ( NLP )
• Experience with web develop ment frameworks, including Shiny, Django, or Flask
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, or data lake houses
• Experience with cloud services, including AWS or Azure
• Experience working in an Agile develop ment environment collaborating with Application Develop ers, Infrastructure Engineers, and stakeholders
• Experience with CI / CD, including Git, Jenkins, and Docker
• Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka
• Experience with NoSQL implementation using MongoDB or Cassandra
• Experience with data warehousing, including AWS Redshift, MySQL, or Snowflake

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
