Job description

We’re looking for a Junior Forward Deployed Developer to work directly with warehouse and operations teams to identify painful workflows, repetitive manual processes, and operational bottlenecks — then build practical tools to solve them.

This is not a traditional software engineering role focused on product roadmaps, sprint cycles, or shipping SaaS features. The work comes from real operational friction happening on the warehouse floor and inside day-to-day business workflows.

You’ll sit with the people doing the work, understand what’s slowing them down, and quickly build automations, scripts, dashboards, and internal tools that make their jobs easier.

The ideal candidate is technical, curious, resourceful and AI-native.

What You’ll Do

  • Spend time directly with warehouse and operations teams to understand workflows and pain points
  • Build lightweight automations and internal tools to eliminate repetitive manual work
  • Create dashboards and admin tools for non-technical users
  • Debug and improve existing automations and workflows
  • Help streamline operational processes across multiple teams
  • Collaborate on larger technical decisions and implementations
  • Ship improvements continuously — ideally something useful every week

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • You’ve built and shipped something real
(GitHub projects, automations, freelance work, startup projects, Shopify customizations, internal tools, etc.)
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools daily
    (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical users and understand operational needs
  • Real programming ability in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python

Nice-to-Haves

  • Internship, freelance, startup, or small-company experience
  • Experience building internal tools, automations, or workflow systems
  • Experience with SQL, Postgres, or Supabase
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
