Reporting to the Program Manager, the Power Platform Solutions Developer will support advanced data analytics, workflow automation, and business process improvement initiatives within a Department of the Navy environment. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing Microsoft Power Platform solutions within the Flank Speed ecosystem to address mission-critical business needs. This position is located in Newport, RI.

What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and lab technical leads to gather, document, and refine business requirements using government-provided repositories
  • Analyze customer requirements to identify key operational challenges and opportunities for process improvement using Microsoft Power Platform tools
  • Design, develop, and implement automated workflows, dashboards, and reporting solutions utilizing Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft tools within the Flank Speed environment
  • Map business processes and define workflows and governance policies to ensure seamless integration across Power Platform applications
  • Develop scalable and secure solutions aligned with Department of the Navy standards and Flank Speed constraints
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including workflow designs, system architecture, policies and governance frameworks, and source code
  • Generate formal technical reports and documentation
  • Deliver real-time training, user support, and knowledge transfer to stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and sustainment of deployed solutions
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancements to deployed Power Platform solutions
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • At least three (3) years supporting enterprise workflow, analytics, and reporting solutions, including experience developing and deploying solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience with workflow automation, data visualization, and dashboard development
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments, preferably Flank Speed or similar secure cloud environments
  • Experience documenting technical solutions in a structured, government-compliant format
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of the Navy programs
  • Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
