Nurse Practitioner Benefits & Compensation

Nurse Practitioner Requirements & Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Arizona Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or other applicable certification)
  • Current DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Minimum 1–2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience
  • Pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, family medicine, urgent care, internal medicine, or related outpatient experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Nurse Practitioner Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, history, physical examination, and assessment of pain-related conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Manage follow-up care, monitor treatment response, and adjust plans
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, imaging, and other clinical data
  • Prescribe and manage medications
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding treatment planning, procedures, and continuity of care
  • Coordinate care with other disciplines, including Behavioral Health and Physical Therapy, when appropriate
  • Maintain adherence to practice policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
