Job Description

Centrillion Technologies is seeking a full stack developer/software engineer to administer our websites. The developer will post content and manage sites, maintaining Web design appropriate for desktop and mobile platforms. Good attention to detail, creativity and knowledge of information technology are all highly sought-after qualities for this position. The successful candidate will write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.

Responsibilities


Establishes Web application specifications by analyzing access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure.

Establishes Web applications by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, and operating system management; defining system and operational policies and procedures.

Maintains Web applications performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.

Manages Web security by developing system for access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.

Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.

Create user-friendly interface by using standard HTML5/CSS3 practices.

Integrate data from various back-end sources and databases.

Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.

Create and maintain software documentation.

Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling website.

Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

Cooperate with web designers to match visual design and content intent.

Upgrades Web system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.

Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.

Updates job knowledge by tracking emerging internet technologies; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications

BS in computer science or a related field

5+ years experience with enterprise software programming and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML5/CSS3, Javascript

Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Python, C++, Java, or Ruby on Rails

A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, cookie, caching, and best development practices

Demonstrated knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development

Hands-on experience with server management and maintenance

Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process

Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills

Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

Flexible, able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques

Experience in communications, design, and WordPress is a plus
