Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support Information Technology Services as a Student Infrastructure Technology Technician on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. The Student Infrastructure Technology Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing campus life safety hardware and software, including CCTV, security alarms, callboxes, paging systems, and backup UPS systems.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs equipment, including:
  • Control Systems Network Switchers
  • Touch Panels
  • Life Safety Equipment
  • Call Boxes
  • Paging Systems
• Installs and configures software e
  quipment
• Troubleshoots Tier 1 issues
• Provides technical assistance to Faculty and Staff
• Performs installs alone and as a team

Shift Specifics

• Up to 25 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Shifts available Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary
$10.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
