Duration: Long-Term Contract / Contract to Hire

Location: Alpharetta, GA || Hybrid

Job Description:

  • Design, and lead the development of enterprise-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js.
  • Define and implement scalable microservices architectures supporting media processing, AI-driven workflows, and real-time integrations.
  • Lead the design and development of services that handle video, audio, image, and document ingestion, processing, and storage.
  • Develop integrations with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, and other AI/ML services for transcription, text-to-speech, document intelligence, and advanced data extraction capabilities.
  • Design secure, resilient, and highly available cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services, including Blob Storage, Kubernetes, App Services, and containerized workloads.
  • Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices for security, observability, performance, and reliability.
  • Drive API strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and reusable RESTful and event-driven integrations across platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to development teams while contributing hands-on to critical implementations.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and technical decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements across the application ecosystem.
  • Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, and operational excellence for both real-time and batch processing workloads.
  • Partner with cloud and platform engineering teams to establish CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and DevSecOps best practices.

 

What We''''re Looking For (Must Have)

  • Bachelor''''s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including enterprise application design and development.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including designing and implementing microservices architectures.
  • 8+ years of experience with React and modern front-end architectures, including component-based design and state management frameworks.
  • Strong experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, API gateways, and event-driven architectures.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure services including Storage, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Cognitive Services, and containerized platforms.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML platforms such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, Document Intelligence, Computer Vision, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and high-availability design.
  • Experience designing secure applications, authentication and authorization frameworks, identity management, and data protection strategies.
  • Expertise in modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, and DevSecOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions across multiple teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage developers, architects, product managers, business analysts, QA teams, and executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative and efficient solutions.
  • Proficiency with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to balance strategic architectural thinking with hands-on technical execution.

  • Experience building solutions involving audio, video, image processing, and media streaming platforms.
  • Experience with WebSockets, event streaming, Kafka, Azure Event Hub, or real-time communication frameworks.
  • Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or other Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
  • Experience designing AI-powered enterprise solutions and Generative AI applications.
