Freelance motion graphics designers create animation for a video project on a short- or long-term contract basis.. In this context, a video project is any moving, vision-based material displayed on a screen, such as visual effects in movies, video games, television shows, or websites. You may work on the overall design, focus on a particular part of the animation, or be hired after a draft has been completed to edit and modify the video.
