Job description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Software Programmer to work with a team to develop and maintain the Centurion Project solution for STRATCOM J722 at Offutt AFB, NE.   
What you will be doing:
  • Six or more years' experience as a software developer
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Experience with Object oriented programming
  • Experience with Web development (JavaScript, HTML)
  • Basic database knowledge
What you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • The ability to be Security+ Certified within 90 days of employment
  • Security Clearance:  Secret Clearance to start and must be eligible for Top Secret Clearance 
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Centurion Project developing the software in a DoD environment is a plus.
  • Basic Proficiency in Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML, PostgreSQL are a plus.
  • Performs full software life cycle including: Design, develop, implement, and maintain applications within the Centurion Project.
  • Interacting with customers to gather requirements and offering creative solutions, writing documentation, presenting project designs, performing user training and attending requirements meetings.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Utilize software engineering best practices (unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).
  • Experience or understanding of OPIR ground reporting systems is a plus.
  • Experience or understanding of NPES is a plus.
  • Strong software troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills are a plus.
  • Ability to "emotionally disconnect" and clearly express problems to project leaders when confronted with impossible requests or assumptions about how easy or simple things should be.
