Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Prescott, Arizona campus is hiring an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Housing and Residence Life Team. Embry-Riddle's Prescott Campus is respected worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow's aviation, aerospace, security and intelligence leaders. Prescott is a mile-high city and its climate reflects seasonable weather excellent for flying. Daytime averages are 80F in the summer and 45F in the winter. At 5,000 ft. above sea level, it boasts a mild climate, clean air, pristine wilderness areas, and nearby national forests. The university is a small, private, residential university in the mountains of Arizona with approximately 3,500 students. Staff/faculty/student interaction is highly valued and is a central theme of our campus. It is located 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.

Description:

  • Assist with the overall operations of the Department of Housing and Residence Life.

  • Provide quality customer service to all constituents (students, parents, colleagues) through working the main office front desk.

  • Handle mass departmental communications.

  • Issue, collect, and inventory keys and access cards.

  • Submit, track, and follow up on work orders and purchase requisitions.

  • Submit, track, and follow-up on various p-card purchases.

  • Provide quality customer service at HRL front desk.

  • Greet constituents in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. Accurately answer questions, seek for understanding rather than agreement.

  • Utilize Outlook to maintain departmental and professional staff calendars

  • Utilize Outlook to respond to, and maintain record of, departmental emails.

  • Regularly submit updates for HRL external and internal websites.

The hourly rate for this role is$16.00-17.00. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.

Qualifications

High school (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, basic composition, and math.
