POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of the UCX Warehouse Operations team, the warehouse employee will be directly responsible for performing an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. In this position, the Warehouse Employee will ensure the best customer experience by demonstrating accuracy, paying attention to details while managing product orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Achieve or exceed picking, receiving, loading performance objectives.
  • Maximize productivity by receiving materials and ensuring they are recorded and placed in the assigned warehouse location accurately.
  • Accurately pick and fill orders to ensure customer receives the correct item and quantity.
  • Inspect products for damage.
  • Check pick sheets to ensure all materials are properly selected and staged for loading.
  • Make note of any discrepancies with products or workflow and report to a manager.
  • Load trailers in accordance with proper weight charts.
  • Build and assemble products by customer using load sheets.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area and exhibit a “Customer First” attitude at all times.
  • Perform regular safety checks on machines and other PPE equipment.
  • Ensure all trailers/trucks are properly chocked and safety devices are engaged prior to entering a vehicle for unloading.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly stored and charged when needed at shift end.
  • The willingness and demonstrated ability to cooperate, work and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, subordinates and/or outside contacts.
  • Follow established processes and procedures, while paying attention to details.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience strongly preferred
  • Experience operating a forklift strongly preferred
  • Must have the ability to lift and manage heavy objects, may be up to 80lbs
  • Must have basic computer, reading, writing and math skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
