Pre GED-Adult Education Teacher
Job Summary:
Teacher is responsible for using Pre GED curriculum and assessments to help students transition into GED classrooms. Teacher is expected to plan and implement individualized lessons for youth/students based on performance data and CASAS scores. Provide purposeful instruction for youth ages 16 - 24 years old.
WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS
This is a part time position, 12 hours per week.
Due to the nature of the job, schedule flexibility is required to accommodate the client population.
May be required to work at any CCAP location.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required. Supervise a classroom
  • Develop and maintain individual lesson plans for each student
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment and standards of behavior
  • Adapt and differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, contacting them as needed with the intent to promote persistence and retention
  • Implement comprehensive Pre GED lessons around (4) test subjects: Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
  • Utilize CASAS assessments and data
  • Analyze data to inform instruction and create an individualized learning experience for students
  • Teaching to enhance students learning and development using CCR standards and NRS performance standards and outcomes framework
  • Collaborate with supervisor to evaluate and provide necessary information/data
  • Utilize the program's curriculum framework to guide instruction, implement curriculum, and incorporate standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations
  • Complete all required background checks
