Special Education Resource Teacher

Location: Talbot County, Maryland
Position Type: Full-Time
School Year: 2026-2027
Caseload: Approximately 15 students

Position Overview

Onward Education is partnering with a school district in Talbot County, Maryland to hire a dedicated Special Education Resource Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Special Education Resource Teacher will provide targeted, specialized instruction to students who require additional academic and behavioral support while participating in the general education setting. The role primarily involves small-group or individualized instruction in areas such as reading, math, social skills, and other identified areas of need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized instruction to students based on their individual learning needs.
  • Deliver small-group and individualized instruction in a resource setting.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and materials to meet diverse student needs.
  • Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications:
