Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join our team and support ongoing construction engineering and inspection efforts in the Fort Myers, FL area. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that major transportation and infrastructure projects are delivered in accordance with FDOT standards, contract requirements, and overall project objectives.

  • Performs highly complex technical assignments related to field surveying and construction layout, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications
  • Verifies engineering computations, inspects construction work, and conducts field testing to maintain quality and compliance standards
  • Coordinates, oversees, and provides guidance to junior inspectors to ensure consistent execution of inspection activities
  • Operates under the general supervision of the Project Administrator while exercising independent judgment in daily responsibilities
  • Utilizes experience and sound judgment to effectively plan, prioritize, and accomplish project goals
  • Establishes and manages project timelines and deadlines to support overall project delivery
  • Provides on-the-job training and mentorship to new team members to support their development and integration
  • Monitors conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and applicable code requirements through detailed inspection activities
  • Conducts daily field inspections and maintains accurate, organized inspection records and reports
  • Participates in punch list development, system testing, and commissioning activities to ensure project completion standards are met
  • Tracks and reports on quality assurance progress, identifying and addressing any deficiencies
  • Contributes to documentation for area and equipment turnover packages, ensuring completeness and accuracy for project closeout
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma plus 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work
  • Valid US Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

  • Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
