We are currently recruiting Freelance Simultaneous Interpreters with English > French for an on\-site assignment in Dearborn, Michigan, supporting a customer experience event for a global automotive client.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>


<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Subject Matter: Technical automotive discussion <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

According to the client, the event will include 6 different discussion stations, each with 10 dealership representatives. Small groups of executives will rotate between stations to discuss pre\-defined topics in an informal and conversational setting. Interpreters will support communication during these exchanges.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

The assignment may also lead to future opportunities with additional virtual and\/or on\-site interpretation projects.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities - in this role you will:<\/span>

  • Provide accurate and professional simultaneous interpretation from English into French.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Facilitate smooth communication between executives and dealership representatives during customer experience discussions.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the assignment.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Adapt quickly to changing conversational dynamics and multiple speakers.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ensure clear and culturally appropriate communication in both languages.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Coordinate effectively with the STAR7 project management team and other interpreters on\-site.<\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Native or near\-native proficiency in English and French.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation, preferably in corporate or business environments.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Ability to manage informal, fast\-paced group conversations professionally.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Excellent listening, memory retention, and note\-taking skills.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Professional demeanor and reliability.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Previous experience in automotive, customer experience, or corporate events is a plus.
