Position Purpose: 
We are seeking great Freelance Production Assistants — Washington DC Based for upcoming work in the DC June 2026.   Candidates should reside locally in the Washington DC metro area.  This application is not for full-time employment.     
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Production office set-up and maintenance 
  • Tracking and re-stocking production supplies 
  • Set-up and maintain craft services 
  • Assisting with Clock In/Out Staff and Radio Sign In/Out 
  • Printing and copying (signage assembly, paperwork, documents for client, etc) 
  • Assistance with furniture assembly and placement (tables, chairs, storage shelves, etc,) 
  • Errand running (hardware stores, general merchandise retail, specialty stores, coffee, meals) 
  • Administrative tasks 
  • Cleaning and tidying 
  • Assisting team with meal orders for key working positions. 
  • Use of credit card and receipt tracking as instructed 
  • Help inventory onsite items (rentals, purchases, etc) 
  • Answering guest questions, directional assistance 
  • Role will be on feet and moving around. 
  • This role in particular does have fluidity to it and may vary based on project needs 
Position Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 1-2 years of live event, entertainment, theater, touring concert and/or production experience and past experience. 
  • Have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal & written 
  • Work with TAIT’s larger producer and production teams as well as client and vendors 
  • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Computer skills: Macintosh OS or Window platform using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Google Drive proficiency. 
  • Ensure that all work conforms to pre-established specifications & standards of TAIT. 
  • Work with discretion, diplomacy, confidentiality, and tact in high-pressure settings. 
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency & act responsively 
  • Work independently as well as within a team environment 
  • Supremely organized, detail-oriented, and thorough 
  • Availability in May— June 2026 in Washington DC
