Embedded C Developer

Required Education
• Degree: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in an accredited Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science program
• Note: Associate degrees are not accepted
 
Experience equivalency:
o 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
o 2+ years of experience with a Master's degree
o PhD may substitute for some experience
• Internships: Accepted as relevant job experience
 
Required Skills
o Excellence in C++ development
o Fluency in Python
o Inertial Measurement Technology
o State Estimation
o Strong debugging and profiling skills
o Structured programming techniques
o Interpreting application system designs and program specifications
o Identifies, documents, and resolves software/application problems

• Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System)
• Strong foundation in mathematics: 3D geometry, linear algebra, statistical error modeling (Gauss-Markov processes)
• Ability to work in various coordinate systems and perform transformations
• Understanding of physics-based modeling, vehicle modeling, and dynamics
• Ability to survey literature and convert research papers into production implementations

• Implement filters using perception-based, inertial, and GNSS inputs
• Participate in all development phases: design, documentation, coding, quality, and validation
• Research and design localization algorithms and software
• Develop production-quality C++ software including design, documentation, coding, validation, and functional safety support
• Contribute to requirements generation and architecture design for localization
• Collaborate with and mentor localization team members
• Work primarily in-office, with occasional lab or proving ground work (PPE and safety glasses required)
