  • Write optimized DAX measures, calculated columns, and complex time-intelligence formulas
  • Build and maintain Power BI dataflows, datasets, and scheduled refresh pipelines
  • Collaborate with the Director of IS and department heads to gather requirements and iterate on deliverables
  • Ensure report performance, data accuracy, and consistent visual standards across the BI environment
  • Document data models, measures, and report logic for maintainability
  • Support row-level security (RLS) configuration and workspace/app publishing in Power BI Service
  • Assist in data governance decisions as needed

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills

  • Expert-level DAX — time intelligence, CALCULATE, iterators, measures vs. calculated columns
  • Strong Power Query / M language for data transformation
  • Experience connecting Power BI to Oracle SQL and other data sources such as data lakes
  • Solid understanding of data modeling: star schema, relationships, cardinality
  • Experience publishing and managing reports in Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, RLS)
  • Comfortable working with source control, GitHub, pbip files

Soft Skills & Working Style
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clean, intuitive visualizations
  • Strong attention to detail — accurate data and reliable refresh schedules are non-negotiable
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a lean IS environment
  • Good written communication for documentation and async stakeholder updates
  • Able to give clear timelines of deliverables

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IFS ERP (any version) or similar industrial ERP systems
  • Familiarity with SQL — particularly Oracle SQL — for query optimization and data validation
  • Microsoft Fabric or Power BI Premium / Fabric capacity experience
  • Power BI embedded analytics or paginated reports (SSRS/RDL)
  • Experience supporting industrial companies
  • Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) certification
