Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Modeling and Simulation Data Analyst to provide Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with Mission Assurance and Operations Research Analysis support.  Location: Fort Meade, Maryland. 

Duties include:

  • Use DCDC/JCC2/MAVEN data analytics applications to develop operationally relevant products for cyber defense.
  • Collaborate with mission partners to understand inputs and requirements.
  • Translate requirements into technical solutions, and manipulate data analytics applications (utilizing APIs, scripting languages) to manage data pipelines.
  • Develop cyber mission assurance focused dashboards, reports, visualizations, and alerts.
  • Maintain documentation, provide technical support, and ensure adherence to security protocols. 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Must be familiar with systems engineering, operations research, and object-oriented software coding experience (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB).

  • Must have familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, SysML, and modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.

  • Must have familiarity with analysis and creation of custom metrics within a discrete event simulator framework like AFSIM, be able to perform analysis with post-processing software (such as Python, R, Excel, etc.), and provide quantitative/qualitative answers to challenging, cyberspace systems-focused questions.

  • Able to support shift work to include weekends
  • U.S Citizenship Required.
  • Active DOD TS SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialized IA Cyber Security Certification such as Security+

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
