Job Overview
The Copywriter will help shape and craft new and refreshing narrative approaches to the growing SBM brand. You'll craft copy techniques and creative approaches are approachable, memorable, modern, and fun - which can tell SBM's story while resonating with new and existing audiences.
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develop and write inspiring 360 campaigns that are primarily focused on digital marketing.
  • Write concepts that translate across numerous media including social campaigns, narrative video content and digital marketing channels including email, paid social ads, landing pages, and website copy.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Creative, Designers and Producers to successfully plan campaigns from pre-production through post-production.
  • Present copy that is anchored in strategic thinking and adheres to stakeholder or channel owner requirements.
  • Manage contract writers and other creative contributors.
  • Manage complex projects with multiple deliverables.
  • Shape the tone of voice for brand and create a practical guideline to deliver copy against it.
  • Organize copy variants in a way that is clear to stakeholders.
  • Provide high level direction for performance marketing videos or other branded content, and/or occasional scripts.
  • Write narrative approaches which deliver impact at scale.
  • Develop inspiring 360 campaigns primarily focused on digital marketing.

Qualification

Education and/ or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g. Creative Writing, Marketing, Advertising)
  • Minimum of 5 years copywriting experience, working within professional Creative teams
  • Background in writing for brand and performance (e.g. paid social, digital banners, and direct response advertising)
  • Online portfolio demonstrating a solutions-based approach to innovative and inspired ideas
  • Relevant knowledge of current trends in copywriting
  • Working knowledge of relevant software (Word, Google Docs)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Exceptional creative thinker and writer.
  • Strong skillset in conceptualizing, brainstorming, writing, and collaborating to create strategically focused campaigns.
  • Understanding that the copywriting needs to meet various business goals including direct sales, education, engagement, etc.
  • Experience writing UX copy and SEO articles.
  • Ability to proofread and self-edit copy to produce error-free content that adheres to brand's style guidelines.
  • Receptive to constructive feedback about writing.
  • Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally, providing useful guidance through feedback while rallying enthusiasm and inspiration.
  • Experience collaborating with related marketing functions and experience with data-informed creative process.
  • Experience working with editors and iterate on feedback
