We are seeking qualified and motivated teachers for 2025 - 2026 to help us transform our students into world class leaders.

 

Job Description

 

- The ability to plan, create and deliver and/or follow lesson plans

 

- Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and test

 

- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment

 

- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

 

- Provide a structured learning atmosphere

 

- Maintaining positive environment in the classroom

 

- Monitor student attendance and behavior

 

- Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings

 

- The ability to develop positive working relationships with students, administrators and staff

 

Requirements

 

- B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution

 

- Must have a Michigan Teaching Certification in corresponding subject area

 

- Thorough knowledge of Michigan Common Core Curriculum

 

- Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

 

- Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

 

- Experience working in a culturally diverse setting

 

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment

 

- Flexible open minded, self-driven team member

 

Preferred Experience

 

-Some background in African Centered Education

 

-Some experience in methodology in African Principles
