Position Summary

The Senior Product Designer will lead the translation of strategic product vision into innovative, manufacturable, market-ready products. This role partners closely with the VP, Brand & Product Development to bring new brands and product lines to life โ€” from concept ideation through CAD development, factory collaboration, prototyping, testing, and production execution.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role requiring strong design instincts, deep product development knowledge, and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate innovative product concepts aligned with brand strategy and retailer needs
  • Develop detailed sketches, renderings, and 3D CAD models
  • Create presentation materials for internal reviews and retail line presentations
  • Ensure design intent is clearly communicated through all stages of development
2. Product Development & Execution
  • Own product development from concept through production
  • Develop complete design documentation and specifications for quoting and manufacturing
  • Partner directly with domestic and international factories to refine construction, materials, finishes, and cost targets
  • Review prototypes, tooling samples, and production samples to ensure design integrity
  • Ensure compliance with safety, durability, and quality standards
3. Innovation & Trend Leadership
  • Stay current on trends in baby, home, lifestyle, and outdoor categories
  • Identify white space opportunities and design-forward solutions
  • Balance aesthetic excellence with manufacturability and margin requirements
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Engineering, QA, Sourcing, Marketing, and Sales
  • Participate in milestone reviews and manage project timelines
  • Support packaging and branding alignment to ensure cohesive consumer experience
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Industrial Design or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in consumer product design and development
  • Proven experience taking products from concept through mass production
  • Experience in consumer products, baby, home, or lifestyle categories preferred
Skills & Capabilities
  • Strong 2D and 3D visualization skills
  • Advanced CAD proficiencyDeep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working with both domestic and overseas factories
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
