Job Description

This role focuses on structural work on rotary-wing aircraft, supporting major programs such as Boeing Apache, SH-60, CH-47, and UH-60. You will perform the first half of the aircraft reset process, breaking down the aircraft and depopulating parts and components, with a strong emphasis on structural modification, repair, and assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural disassembly of rotary-wing aircraft as part of the first half of the reset process, including breaking down the aircraft and depopulating parts and components.
  • Carry out aircraft structural modifications and repairs in accordance with applicable specifications, drawings, and standards.
  • Execute structural assembly tasks, including fitting, drilling, and fastening of airframe components.
  • Perform precise riveting and other sheet metal operations on aircraft structures.
  • Work on multiple aircraft lines, including UH-60, CH-47, AH-64, and SH-60 platforms as assigned.
  • Conduct installation and removal of airframe structural components and subassemblies.
  • Complete a hands-on structural skills test on the first day to demonstrate proficiency in core structural mechanic tasks.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards while working in an air-conditioned facility.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of structural tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle all materials and equipment provided.

Essential Skills

  • At least 4 years of experience working on aircraft structures, with a focus on modification or repair.
  • Hands-on experience in aircraft structural assembly, including fitting and fastening of airframe components.
  • Proficiency in riveting and aircraft sheet metal work.
  • Experience with aircraft modification and structural repair on any aircraft platform; rotary-wing experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to perform structural work on UH-60, CH-47, AH-64, and SH-60 aircraft or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of airframe structures and structural installation practices.
  • Capability to pass a hands-on structural test on the first day of employment.
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, work orders, and engineering documentation related to aircraft structures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Military rotary-wing aircraft experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with airframe installation and structural component installation.
  • Experience in aircraft sheet metal fabrication and repair.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
