Job description

A well-established and highly respected Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine practice in the Athens, GA area is seeking a full-time, permanent Nurse Practitioner to join its Critical Care team. This provider will work in a collaborative environment with consistent physician support and the opportunity to practice at the top of their license. Both experienced Nurse Practitioners and new graduates with a critical care background are encouraged to apply.

Schedule, Coverage & Clinical Responsibilities

  • 12.5-hour shifts
  • Shifts are blocked together
  • Mostly day shifts with night shifts rotating evenly among 7 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Option to work nights only, if preferred
  • A physician is always available for support
  • Coverage of approximately 20 ICU beds, plus limited admissions
  • Procedures include:
    • Central line placement
    • Endotracheal intubation
    • Training on procedures is available if needed

Qualifications

  • Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Recent Critical care experience required
  • New graduates with a recent critical care background are welcome to apply
