Job description

Step into the dynamic and rewarding role of a Photography Instructor at F.I.R.S.T. Institute, where you can share your passion and expertise with aspiring photography professionals. While teaching experience is preferred, it is not a requirement; we seek a seasoned Photographer with hands-on knowledge in Shot Composition, Cameras, Lenses, Lighting, Color, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom. Your chief responsibility will be to impart this invaluable knowledge to the next wave of photographer talent. About the Role

Teaching experience is preferred, but not required. We are seeking an experienced Professional Photographer to join our education team as a full-time instructor. This candidate must have experience in shot composition, cameras and lenses, lighting and color, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom as our curriculum is based on these subjects.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Teaching and engaging students about our photography curriculum.
  • Inspire and support students with a "hands-on" and active approach as they progress through coursework.
  • Teaching practical hands-on methods for using cameras, lighting, and shot composition.
  • Focus on student creativity to achieve high-quality results with class digital photography projects.
  • Fine-tune curriculum as directed and contribute to the creation of engaging lesson plans and projects inside Canvas.
  • Create a safe, supportive, creative, and dynamic environment for students.

Recommended Requirements

  • Professional working experience with shot composition, cameras, lighting, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Deep passion for mentorship and helping others of all learning types.

Requirement

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of relevant experience OR a degree in a related field.
