Job description

The NYU Grossman School of Medicine is hiring faculty at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels at the Precision Medicine Division, Department of Medicine. Headed by Dr. Morgan Grams, M.D. Ph.D., and Dr. Aristotelis Tsirigos, Ph.D., the Precision Medicine Division is a collaborative, interdisciplinary research unit and a hub of research expertise within the Department of Medicine. Faculty members include clinical researchers and data scientists in the School of Medicine who foster strong collaborations with the Department of Population Health, the Institute for System Genetics, and the Center for Data Science. Faculty will also consult on strategic technological decisions for NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Scientifically, the overarching goal of the Division is to produce evidence that informs the delivery of high-quality, equitable, and tailored patient care, responding rapidly to changes in health care guidelines, delivery, safety, and regulation. Research performed in the division spans the continuum from pre-clinical multimodal omics to analysis of real-world evidence to implementation science, with the singular goal of improving patients’ lives. We are particularly interested in specific skills relating to bioinformatics in a Learning Health System.

We seek collaborative colleagues with a focus on medical machine learning computational and statistical modeling, as well as research using electronic health records, mobile health data and other human data. Interest in areas outside of cancer a plus.

Successful candidates will hold a primary faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine, and will have opportunities to participate in one or more graduate programs. The candidate is expected to lead her/his own research programs as well as foster collaborations throughout NYU Langone Health.
