Position Details:
  • Duration: 5-7 year contract
  • Location: Oklahoma City, OK
  • Work Schedule: Remote. Some in-person attendance may be required for occasional onsite meetings.

Overview:
Our client is undertaking a comprehensive, multiyear modernization initiative to replace aging legacy systems and transition to a unified, cloud-native technology environment. This initiative includes the development of a modern Azure-hosted pension administration platform designed to improve scalability, stability, integration, and operational efficiency.
The organization supports more than 210,000 employees and retirees across over 600 school districts, career technology centers, colleges, and universities. The modernization effort is focused on reducing fragmented workflows, eliminating manual processes, improving system performance, and retiring outdated legacy technologies.
The technology environment includes C#/.NET, Angular, REST APIs, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Function Apps, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Git, and document management/process automation solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise application components using modern development frameworks and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain applications using C#/.NET, Angular, SQL, and Web APIs.
  • Build and support REST APIs, system interfaces, integrations, and automation workflows.
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into maintainable, production-ready software.
  • Perform coding, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, and pull request submissions.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Work within an Agile development environment and contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and development activities.
  • Develop clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support the modernization and integration of legacy applications, technologies, dependencies, and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with developers, technical staff, business analysts, testers, and project managers.
  • Follow secure coding practices and established application development standards.
  • Deliver high-quality work with minimal defects while meeting established timelines.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple development tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
