Freelance art figure models are individuals who pose for artists, photographers, or art students to help them study and capture the human form. These models often work independently, accepting assignments on a per-session or contract basis rather than being employed full time by a single studio or institution. Their work can involve posing nude or clothed, holding various poses for extended periods, and sometimes participating in themed or dynamic sessions. The role requires professionalism, body awareness, and the ability to stay still for long durations. Freelance models benefit from flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with a wide variety of artists and art organizations.
