Job description

Company Description We are a small female run independent jewelry store with a large focus on custom and repair in a small, tight knit community 35 minutes outside of Portland. In addition we are developing our own lines and creating unique one of a kind pieces along with restoring antique jewelry. Our company has grown and we are looking to bring a 3rd person on our team to focus on sales in-person and online. Currently the job is part time but can grow into full time. We offer a place where creativity can flourish for the responsible free spirit. 


Role Description Part-time day time position open for fine jewelry sales support with a variety of tasks throughout the work day including: working with customers face to face, Setting up and putting away cases daily, online inventory management and customer communications, shipping, social media operations including filming and creating content. This is in-person work keeping the storefront running and operating via computer when customers are not instore.

Hours may increase during holiday and busy seasons if candidate is available. Searching for a candidate who can transition from tasks and follow up sales leads, update website and drive sales through content creation during down time.

Ideal candidate enjoys a variety of tasks and has photography skills along with a penchant for social media posts. We offer training in benchwork and design to employees that are interested.


Qualifications

-Previous jewelry retail store experience is highly preferred though no a requirement; familiarity with retail sales techniques is a plus

-Product photography skills preferred

-Basic math skills for cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and retail math calculations

-Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

-Comfortable working in a creative environment with a focus on teamwork and attention to detail
