Location: Battle Creek, MI
Shifts: Day & Night Available

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team. In this full-time role, you will work closely with Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians to provide high-quality patient care in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, administering medications and injections, monitoring treatment plans, coordinating pharmacy and laboratory services, supporting admissions and discharges, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The LPN will also educate clients and families on medications, side effects, and treatment plans while ensuring compliance with infection control and medication safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers in identifying client needs, limitations, and treatment planning

  • Administer medications, injections, and monitor controlled substances

  • Coordinate pharmacy, laboratory, and medication refill services

  • Observe, document, and report client behaviors and clinical changes

  • Support admissions, transfers, and discharge processes

  • Educate residents and families regarding medications and care plans

  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with policies

  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and infection-controlled environment

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Active state LPN license

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Valid state driver's license

  • Preferred: 1+ year of LPN experience

  • Preferred: 1+ year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience

  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, medication administration, and patient care across the lifespan.
